Candy Grandpre Arrested

Hey all, very belated happy new year to you all (except maybe Candy, who is the subject of this post).

Candy has had several run-ins with the police ever since coming to NOLA.

Most recently she was harassing some teenagers who called the Gretna, LA cops on her over the harassment she gave them for eating the wrong color cake. Now Candy was arrested by the Gretna PD for criminal mischief.

Like I said on YouTube, Candy’s status of being a homeless female has likely given her harassment and loitering a lot of deference from police departments everywhere she goes, but that finally came to a brief end and she is having to face some small measure of justice for her bullying and bad behavior in public.

  1. And Candy needs to pay $130. She said it was for bond, but they let her out, so maybe that was her fine? Since she can spend her entire SSDI check in less than a week, that is going to hurt.
Oh, there will be butthurt and craziness. They disrespected her baptism certificate so they will surely burn in hell. Which she told them.
Knowing her tendency toward both grandiosity and histrionics, what actually happened will never be known without a report from the police and jail staff. Which is too bad.
Candy thinks they tried to break her phone so she could not film their abuse. She must not realize that cops film everything. The reason they grabbed her was because she was not doing what she was told to do. That is resisting.
Candy was even told “play stupid games, win stupid prizes” while being booked. Give that officer a hand..
Candy is a 40 year old grown ass woman who didn’t realize “vacant” properties were still “private property.” And that staying on someone’s private propty, no matter what the building might be, is still trespassing, which is a crime.
Or that a police officer’s job is to remove criminals from lawful society.
But she has a college degree.

      • I was going to do it myself but they want to record my full name and I’m guessing the fact I requested her records would be a record someone else could request so yeah I’m not requesting her mugshot. If you do feel inclined to please share !

  2. What is this woman doing that is either “criminal” or “mischief?”
Wearing red? Anyone can buy and wear any color they want. It means nothing. You are just paranoid and delusional. You’ve had doctors diagnose that, Candy.
Sitting quietly in the library with a laptop (or a book)?
Well, what are YOU doing? Taking and posting pictures without her permission? Does the library know you do that? It is invading her privacy.
And before you go all “sex-traffickers take MY picture and sell them online,” I ask you prove that. The one picture is from Bloomington, from someone who wanted to know who you were. Not showing your face. Not being sold. And not sexual in anyway.

  3. Candy allegedly has a lawyer telling her she isn’t guilty of trespassing. I reviewed the relevant law and I don’t see how anyone could come to that conclusion.

Criminal mischief, kinda depends on exactly what she did. But trespassing for sure she did.

She is also claiming that someone called Gretna PD pretending to be the property owner to have her removed, and that if the actual property owner doesn’t ask for her to be removed, she is allowed to be there.

I certainly do believe someone could have done that but it’s not true that the police have to hear from the property owner to have someone removed for trespassing in Louisiana.

I would note that this is different than the laws in Texas; Texas requires that a property owner (or someone with authority to do so, such as someone leasing property i.e. renting a house) ask someone to leave first before the police can get involved or there has to be visible “No Trespassing” signs. Candy and/or whoever Candy is talking to seems to be giving her (incorrect) advice based on that notion.

  4. Yeah, her ideas about trespassing are weird. It’s what suits her, against what spoils her “spot.”
When she was trespassed off the alley way, she made a big deal about the woman, who was working later than usual and did not know she slept there, was not the owner of the buildings. First Candy could not possible know who owned the building, I doubt she took the time to do a search about that, too. But if that woman was the manager, or had word from the manager of that building, they would be given the same weight as though they owned the building. So she was wrong. But if you just think about all the places that she has been banned from, I doubt many have had the order to trespass was ever by the actual owner.
The “criminal mischief” charge will not stand up, though. Unless she had been caught peeing in the bushes. Which would have been really sweet to see, since she has been peeing all over and claiming that as a “right.” As a choice between the two possible charges, I would have chosen the trespassing, although some sources say “ENTER INTO” somewhere, and she had not entered.
Her assumption that someone called and lied about being the owner is just crazy talk. How would they know the address of the house? It is much more likely, and more logical that the cops saw her for several days, and she seemed to be claiming that porch. And the day before someone walking their dog almost caught her peeing somewhere, and that is much more likely as the source of a call, should any have been made. If I had seen someone lurking around a vacant, for sale home in my neighborhood, I would probably call the cops to come visit, too.
As someone who first thought Candy was “retarded” (a word that was used when I was growing up) a lawyer probably dumbed down and appeased the crazy retarded lady. And she will likely get off all charges, possibly through “diminished capacity” or something like it. And I do not trust her retelling what a lawyer said very far, given she has weird lapses of logic, like thinking you can sleep at and pee on a vacant property and it’s okay and not trespassing.
She wrote her version of the whole affair. It is not really going to be something to be used exactly as written, if they can read it at all. I would not be surprised if someone types it up, editting it as they go. It is the whole story of what a victim she has been her entire life, and the bully cops, she doesn’t call them slurs, at least I don’t think she did, but it is good evidence she is not the type of person who has a college degree.

  7. Candy needs to learn that when she posts pictures online on a public account, people will use them as they see fit.
It’s not a paranoid program against her, it’s a fact of the digital age.
I have previously received money for “fixing” damaged pictures, but don’t get money for anything I do online, and never have. I am just creative enough when I see an opportunity I take it.
Unfortunately, this is late, as Valentine’s Day was last month.

This animation really needs a “South Park exposes Scientology”-style caption flashing at the bottom of the screen, “This is what Candy Grandpre actually believes!”

  10. The thing with Candy getting triggered by and losing her shit over red velvet cake has turned into a meme.

Candy is also reading the comments here again (she was ignoring us for a while). She’s unhappy that people want to get copies of her mugshot (Candy, it’s public record. Be happy that Jefferson Parish charges $10 for those mugshots otherwise it’d already be plastered all over the interwebs!)

She’s also blaming me for a cake-related interaction with her on Twitter and one of Candy’s Twitter friends is trying to tag Donald Trump to help her with the cake-related harassment: https://twitter.com/paula81958606/status/1767438040673538192

  11. Hey Candy! This is not harassment. I am writing what I want on a page I want to write on. So sucks to be you, because if you don’t like what is said here, don’t come to read it. Problem solved. I abhor censorship, with the exception of really horrible things like child porn and snuff films. You censor all the time. If you don’t have people fawning all over you and your “suffering” then you censor them and block them from ever making a comment on your page again. That is called creating an “echo chamber.” It is low intelligence as well as being stupid. Because<SURPRISE!> not everything you think and say makes sense.
A few things you continue to spread about me. My real given name is Star Lynn Firnhaber Bricker. You have seen my face and posted it online. But yet you don’t ever talk directly to me. Here are some errors you made today:
My husband, grandkids, and dogs (I have three) are fine.
I am not dying of cancer. I am living with cancer quite well. And expect to be for a while yet. No one has found my expiration date, and my scans are clear of active disease.
I have been two semesters in college, and passed well in every class I took. I went to only two years because what I wanted most in life was to have a husband and child. As you have never been through pregnancy, labor, childbirth, infant care, and all the other things a mom does, you cannot judge me on my not having a degree. I’ve had several IQ tests, done officially for school and work and I have always bested 140, the last being over 150. I am well read and understand many fields of science on a high level. So don’t wave your degree in my face.
What else? Oh, I don’t sex traffick you, wouldn’t know how, and even if I did know how would never pick you for a person for which I could make any money. I’ve never trafficked anyone, for any reason, but you would never be on a list of possible profit making.
I don’t think you know what sex-trafficking means, because you keep claiming it and you keep discussing the ways you are not something anyone would want sexually. Your hygiene is apalling. Your weight is too. And yes I am considered obese myself, by the numbers. But I am a few inches taller than you and weight 100 pounds less, so it looks different. And my oncologist is only concerned if I start to lose weight, so there is that.
You did resist arrest, by being silent and not doing what you were told by law officers. Stop it with the “holier than thou” crap. I don’t have a police record, never had a ticket, moving or parking, and have only been the victim of crimes. Like when you tried to encite my murder in Pensacola. Which is still a felony, despite your seeming to forget just what you did and said. So have I ever said I think you need to die or be murdered or maybe, my person favorite, told you do “die already?” No. I have mentioned that your health and the way you are avoiding all the big signs that you are in poor physical health will cause you to probably die early. Your weight alone points to that fact. You keep going to the ER for panic attacks, they check your heart, see nothing happening, and send you away, but you don’t know how your health really is. Eating a pizza and lava cakes? Not good for your health. Quite fat filled.
No one that I am aware of is working in teams against you. We just have all a reason to watch what you post on public forums. I don’t make fake accounts. I did once and you proved too mentally weak to mess with. I disagree with the people who troll you, but I wish you had the discernment to see that is what is happening. Your paranoia is too bad for you to be online alone. You believe ANYTHING. That is not smart. That is not adult.
I am looking forward to see how you do in front of a judge. I have a few scenarios that could happen, but it is wishful thinking because they all result in your being forensically examined for possible mental health problems. But really, you did commit a crime, you caused the arrest, and you don’t understand what is going to happen to you. Do you really think the police have not watched your videos and read your X and blogs? Sucks to be you.
Oh and my relationship with my God is quite nice, thank you. I am blessed. I have everything I need and lots of what I want. I am comfortable and healthy, considering. I have friends and family and people like me. And the only time I’ve been in a courtroom with a judge is when I was a juror. Sucks to be you, huh?

  12. I try to remember Candy has the emotional age of a child and the illnesses and difficulties that means she doesn’t know how to be an empathetic, kind person. Really, when I first started watching her videos, it wasn’t hard to not like her, because of those difficulties. I tried.
I admit to using triggers and not keeping conversations about her kind, but we all know kindness does not work with her.
But Candy crossed the line, showing just how much of a cruel, unfeeling narcissist she truly is.
Her sister is going through a hard time right now. I haven’t gotten a clear account of anything yet. While drunk, which is bad given the medications she takes, Brandi attempted to hurt herself. I hope it is not that serious, and that Brandy finds the help, love, and support she needs through what ever she is going through.
And Candy made three videos about how this impacts HER. Including “Why is she doing this to ME?” while crying.
I just can’t about this. Everything is about Candy. Even when it is not.

  13. Now she is saying that I am doing something to make screenshots of her videos. Yes, but no.
It is a built-in screenshot function on my low-end Samsung TabA. To catch a picture of her face, I need only pause the video and swipe the side of my hand across my screen. This drops the captured image into my “Images” app, also standard on this tablet. Then I open that image, and get an “edit functions” bar at the bottom. From there I can crop, enlarge, minimize, change colors, write on and add stickers. I cannot change a picture more than that.
What I cannot do is change her expression. What she does with her face is, ….well, “interesting.” Often humorous.
Part of the fluidity is because she is always laying flat on her back, allowing her facial folds to go slack allowing her muscles to relax, and when she does move her facial muscles, they move more, which exaggerates her features.
Well, except for her double-chin, which is exaggerated due to the slackness in that position.
I was going to apply titles to these, but decided against doing so, so she can’t (rightfully) whine about me making fun.
Candy, these are screenshots of a video. These are the faces you make , in this case during only the first half. You make a lot of faces. Without sounds, it is very much like an unruly kid in the background, knowing the newsreel is live and cannot be edited out. But I have only cropped out the excess picture along the side, and have done nothing to your face at all. I even did not retouch the coloring. This feature tends to make the picture warm.

  14. Candy is angry that an online lawyer isn’t responding to her on Twitter and is shaming her for ignoring her.

Candy is rightfully getting called out for her selfish narcissistic behavior and she’s not understanding why she isn’t entitled to social interaction and free-of-charge legal advice from other people.

(The comment in the truncated screenshot is Candy’s comment where she initially whined about Ana Toledo not responding to her with another person below, Dale Adams, pointing out Candy’s entitled behavior)

    • I don’t know Ana but I do know she is in a no-win situation with Candy.

If she responds to her and tells her the truth about her charges (that she is guilty of the things she is accused of per what the law says), Candy will go ballistic and start calling her names.

If she just ignores her and tries to avoid the drama Candy is gonna call her names anyway.

      • I think Candy still believes the false premise that she was only arrested because of online trolls and not because of her actions.

II can’t prove it but ‘m about 90% confident that the caller that might have caused the police to increase patrols on the specific street Candy was trespassing on was the dog walker, not any online troll. But the police might have increased patrols of the neighborhood the first time they spotted Candy trespassing, without any calls to police necessary.

        Reply
        • I agree completely. If a similar situation occurred in my neighborhood, I’d give it a few days, and than call the non-emergency number and express my concerns. Seeing someone at the side of the house who is spending the majority of their time on the porch, I would think they were using the property as a toilet.
And she should have gotten the clue when she saw them creep past her for three nights. They knew there was a crazy bag lady around due to her ,”perpin’ me with red cake” incident. They gave her three chances to get the clue she is being watched, and she did not pick up the clue.
Candy thinks she can do no wrong and that the whole world is harassing her somehow. That needs to stop. She has been banned, i.e. trespassed, from so many places and she still doesn’t see her error.
And she thinks that any business is public if you can walk in. Nope. All businesses are private, and can choose to who they will serve. Even motels.

          Reply
          • I’m not even sure if online trolls would’ve known which address to report to the police before she was arrested.

It’s one thing to search room photos of maybe a couple of dozen hotels on Google Maps until you find a matching headboard (which isn’t something I’ve done myself but it’s something I can easily imagine trolls doing), it’s another thing entirely to systematically search the facades thousands upon thousands of houses on hundreds of miles of roads in New Orleans and suburbs on Google Street View until you find a porch that matches exactly.

  15. Someone has created a clone of Candy’s twitter account (the clone: https://twitter.com/CreoleTagreted) and is replying to her e-begging threads trying to redirect donations to a fraudulent PayPal account.

This has apparently resulted in at least one person misdirecting their donation to the imposter (to the tune of $2, so not a huge loss, but still wrong).

I’m willing to take trolling a little further than others but impersonating others AND using that impersonation to get money from other people is the crime of fraud. As much as I don’t like Candy, I can’t condone this even if we want to debate whether or not she deserves that money.

    • I’m 50/50 on whether this is someone who actually hates Candy or is just a random e-criminal that doesn’t know her at all and just caught on to the fact that Candy has a beg-a-thon going on and thought he could scheme some free money by pretending to be her.

      Reply
      • I wouldn’t be too surprised if it was one of those same scammers who regularly reply to Candy’s tweets asking for money with a message like “Dm me with your cashapp tag” (where the scam is usually something like they’ll ask for a small amount of money as a “processing fee” before you receive the large amount of money that they’ll obviously never actually send you). I’m looking at the profiles of several people who are asking Candy to DM them to arrange payment and, while I can’t rule out a handful of them being legitimate, most of them seem to be pulling the same scam with identical messages on hundreds of other people also asking for money.

Candy is now complaining that a “gangstalker” just sent her $33 as some sort of masonic ritual. She says she is sending the $33 back.

Gonna go out on a limb and say that none of us has $33 to spare just to troll Candy and that the $33 might have been a legitimate donation. Not everyone freaks out over the number 33 like she does.

  16. Candy is whining about her trespassing charge, and we probably will hear her whining for weeks or months about it.

Now she’s comparing her ignorance of trespassing law to the COVID-19 vaccine, thinking that all of us who got a shot are regretting it and should have known better.

Candy, I don’t regret receiving multiple vaccine doses, nothing bad has happened to me, and I continue to plan on receiving annual doses (along with the flu vaccine). Vaccination has saved millions of lives and is the primary reason why we are able to return to a normal life without millions more dead COVID-19 victims.

    • Oh, good. I was going to comment on this, too.
The stupid people did not get vaccinated. I got vaxxed. With my cancer being in my bones, my blood counts of every type of blood cell is low. Including my immune system.
I did get Covid-19. But I have had common colds that were worse. And my low blood counts meant the medicine to reduce symptoms I was only able to use the infusion type, and only half the usual dose. I got better fast.
I’m glad a was vaxxed, and continue to get any vax offered. When stupid people talk against them and it is someone who is not a coward and not blocked me, I ask if they had diphtheria. And many of these stupid people have never even heard of it. How many people do they know who had polio? Measles? Chicken pox, rubella, mumps? I had chicken pox, and there is a special gift it gives people older than 40, shingles.
I would mention rabies from our pets being unvaxxed, but she never had a pet.
Like pretty much everything else, Candy is a fool.

  17. I looked at the docket for Tuesday and did not find Candy listed. I also looked at Monday and Wednesday.
So her charge is a misdemeanor or she got the date wrong.
But I did see some interesting trials.
The first is that they are having a “Sanity Hearing,” so they do know what they are doing. Even at her best behavior, her problems seem obvious. And if she gets upset, she either claims up or starts her litany of paranoid delusions.
The second is something Candy is always whining about.
This person seemed to be habitual, and this looks to be added on to his 3rd DWI.
They do have “online court” for Jefferson Parish Courts, which is where I was looking at the dockets. It is here:
    https://www.24jdc.us/
But you would have to watch until you saw her, which could be hours, IF she is in district court. I doubt she is. Looks like she is be in the “First Parish Court.” I don’t know if they livestream that. Yet. I’ll keep looking.

  18. I think that Candy’s court appearance on Tuesday, March 19th is only an arraignment, where Candy will be read the charges and appointed a lawyer if the judge decides to proceed with the case.

I wouldn’t be too surprised if the judge just decides to dismiss the case with a warning to Candy not to tresspass on any properties in Gretna again.

    Reply
    • Candy privated her tweets so I can only look at replies. Candy seems confused about when she gets a public defender. This is just an arraignment, it’s where the judge finds out if you can’t afford a lawyer and, for defendants that can’t afford a lawyer, assigns a public defender. You get a lawyer before the trial, don’t worry.

      • That’s probably why I can’t find Candy’s name in the Jefferson Parish court dockets.

They do have something called JeffNet that shows court documents but you have to pay $5.00 just to get 24 hours of access and then it’s $.75 per document (worse than PACER for federal courts!). I might consider it at the conclusion of her case but probably not now.

  19. Yeah, the do Zoom all their courts, but Candy wasn’t on the dockets for the main court. If you are a defendant, they send you a code. Without that code, it doesn’t seem to open. I tried it.
I think her multiple problems will be evident enough to get a warning and the charges drop. I would love to get the transcript. With her lack of understanding about all this experience, I will not trust her accounting of what went on.
She actually wondered what to do if the judge was a perp.
With that mindset and that she has been brewing a panic attack, she won’t be able to give a true account.
When she was in jail, they took her shoelaces. She has not replaced them yet. Granted with her feet and legs swelling it is prov ably more comfortable, but it reminds me of the never having funds for a new pair of panties. It is like she gets stuck when something happens and can’t figure out how to manage. Like her hair. She won’t keep up with it, then she knows using coconut oil would clog the plumbing, she just let’s it go until it is a nappy mess that needs shaved off, it is just another case that she is not caring for herself. Like her weight. If you eat like she eats and not have any activity outside of gett8ng food and using the bathroom, you will gain weight. Her clothes she got for her job, at least the top was a 3X and is too tight to wear. That is not good.
I don’t think she’ll go to jail. I even bet she wouldn’t and said if she did, I would put $10 in a commissary account, for honey buns. She would not be good in jail, and even said if she was she would ask for a private room. Outside of solitary, that is just entitled and nuts. A better place would be a mental health facility, then a group home. And forced treatment, with checks for compliance. The only times in her life when she was having the most normal life possible, she had a social worker.

    • Yeah I would be surprised if she got jail for such a minor offense. I’d expect something like probation or a small fine. That’s if she behaved in court and was contrite. If she ends up becoming a habitual offender that’s when they might start throwing the book at her and she starts getting real jail time for it.

      • I’m not entirely sure about the technicalities but I suspect that she doesn’t actually get to meet the public defender until the next court appearance, which should be the evidentiary hearing.
