Bryan Tew has a freakout because pharmacies in Mexico won’t feed his benzo addiction / Open Thread

Bryan decided to leave San Diego again for Tijuana. He’s not having a lot of luck obtaining controlled substances, apparently Mexico is getting pretty strict about dispensing them. He is also trying to book a ticket to Bolivia but not having luck with that either.

  1. Holy moly, he needs his damn anxiety meds because he’s so important that the government spends big buck watching his every move and thought.

  2. It’s also possible that the staff at a lot of these Mexican pharmacies see how rough Bryan looks now with the missing front teeth and don’t want to enable his decline any further.

Until recently, Bryan looked like a middle-aged backpacker-type (eternal) tourist but now he just looks like a homeless drifter with mental issues and I can see countries even refusing him entry based on his appearance in his current condition.

  3. Bryan spends $650 on prescriptions. The pharmacist shorts Bryan one box of Lorazepam and tries to get him to agree to some shady under the table deal to get the other box.

Then Bryan makes some racist remarks about Mexicans (“genetically corrupt”).

    • Shocker, Mexican border pharmacies who specialize in taking oodles of money from Americans with opioid addictions can be a little shady? Oh my god, it must be a conspiracy! /s

The next thing you’ll tell me is that Tijuana taxi driver promising to take me to the donkey show might just take me to the outskirts of town and rob me.

  4. Bryan returns to the US after obtaining his drugs. Says he is financially tapped out, not only did he spent $700 on drugs but he apparently spent a similar amount on useless plane tickets.

So sorry guys it sounds like he’s back in San Diego.

  5. Why does Bryan want to get to Bolivia, anyway?

I suppose it’s probably to waste Bolivian government resources with another dubious asylum claim but, if Bryan couldn’t handle the elevation in Quito, Ecuador (~2,850m), have I got bad news for him about La Paz, Bolivia, elevation 3,625 metres, or two-and-a-quarter miles above sea level.

Santa Cruz de la Sierra would be much more tolerable at only around 400 metres but I suspect most of the immigration resources are in La Paz.

  6. ‘Angel told me the adult industry was the right career – now I’m an OnlyFans millionaire’
EXCLUSIVE: OnlyFans model Alice Irving claims that an angel visited her when she was a student to reassure her that a career in the adult industry ‘was her calling’

‘Angel’ told OnlyFans star that it was ‘right career’ – and now she’s a millionaire

An OnlyFans model claims that an “angel” visited her to tell her it was the “right path” – and now she earns almost six figures each month from the adult site.

Canadian-born Alice Irving, 24, exclusively told the Daily Star previously that she’s a witch who had people speak to her in dreams from a very young age.

She even said that she foresaw her father’s tragic murder when she was just 12-years-old.

Now, she explains how an angel persuaded her to launch a career in the adult industry.

Regardless, she heeded the angel’s advice and has consequently made millions.

“I don’t come from a rich family, I come from a poor family,” she explained.

“I’ve built my wealth from zero to a multi-millionaire, from 18 to 24.”

Alice has previously opened up about her time as the leader of an online “seven deadly sins” cult, where men would pay up to $100,000 (£76,000) just to hear her speak.

    • It seems like the cabins in Santa Monica were about as top-tier as homeless shelters realistically get since he had privacy within the cabin. Ideally, it would have only been temporary accommodation until he got a subsidized apartment, but even just being in the cabin seemed better than 99% of homeless shelters where you will have to put up with roommates.

If I were Bryan, I’d go back to Santa Monica even if it means having to talk to social workers including psychologists from time to time.

  7. Kevin,

Touch ID can stop working if your finger gets dry, flaky, etc. Happens to me from time to time on my less-frequently used iPad (my iPhone has Face ID). It always correlates with having dry flaky skin for me (soaking wet skin will do it too, but I try not to use my devices with wet digits for safety reasons). So will a smudged sensor.

Has nothing to do with Howard Circle or “gangstalkers”. Stop embarrassing yourself.

The biometric data is stored on the device (in the Secure Enclave area of the processor), it never gets uploaded to iCloud so logging out of that or resetting it won’t help.

What will help, besides having clean digits and a clean sensor, is to add the same finger multiple times. When your finger won’t open your device, add the same finger again but don’t delete the old one. I find that makes it work more reliably.

Either that or he was missing several front teeth before he was in New York earlier this year and I just didn’t notice.

  10. Programmer Georgi Gerganov doesn’t use any Bluetooth, WiFi, or RF-based methods to eavesdrop on your keyboards, but rather a normal microphone. That’s right, it essentially captures audio of you typing before using that information to generate a cluster map of clicks with similar sounds.

It then analyzes those clusters and utilizes statistical information about the frequency of the letter n-grams in the supposed language of the text.

The algorithm realizes that some of these letter combinations are used more frequently in certain languages, like English, and then begins guessing.

Try it out here if you have a clicky mechanical keyboard. This exploit would most likely not fare well against Samsung’s SelfieType, an AI-powered keyboard. more

Comment: No, websites don’t need to use your microphone to pickup your typing to show you ads.

Google uses microwave imaging, silicon trojans and machine learning to pickup your inner speech and lets advertisers and terrorists have it all for free.

  11. Apparently Bryan does not qualify for whatever program they have at the shelter in El Cajon per posts and a recording made earlier.

Today Bryan shows up at what appears to be a self-storage locker with the attendant berating him for having food and food wrappers in his unit and telling him to GTFO. Also for living inside of his unit which is never allowed at these places.

Bryan acts dumbfounded and thinks that the unit is “sealed” when it’s clearly not. A very obvious target for rats and roaches.

Not very bright are you Bryan?

I believe that there is something wrong with Kyle beyond his obvious mental health issues but that’s because he looks gaunt in his videos compared to a few years ago when he was a little bit chubby.

      • As if that wasn’t entirely predictable. Doctors see pretty much all walks of life come into their offices so they’ve seen it all and aren’t going to be swayed by someone reading a long diatribe claiming they have shock implants.

Considering how Sweden (and Finland) are joining NATO to protect themselves to Russia, I don’t see the visa-free ferry trips to Russia returning anytime soon, so Bryan probably shouldn’t waste his money flying to Stockholm at the height of tourist season when the hostels, if they’re not fully-booked, are going to be a lot more expensive than when he visited during the dark winter season.

  14. According to the comments on this video, Nappy Head Roots has been arrested.

I looked up the California PFN (inmate ID) at the Santa Clara County Jail and he’s in jail with bail set at $50000 (someone in the comments says that it’s a typo and it’s only $5K). It doesn’t say what he’s charged with but one commenter who claims to be in touch with him says it’s a Class 3 Felony, Aggravated Assault. Something about Nappy threatening to shoot everyone. I dunno, Nappy often yells through his bullhorn about how be believes that the SJPD are trying to make him shoot people but I’ve never heard him directly threaten to shoot people so I can actually believe that they misheard him. I knew that bullhorn was going to get him in trouble one of these days.

    • According to the Santa Clara county Department of Correction Inmate Visiting Registration website, Nappy (real name Jacob Mills) had a court appearance yesterday and has another one scheduled for the 28th. Interestingly, his bail has increased from $50K to $100K (although apparently one only has to pay 10% of that; I’m not anywhere near California and I don’t know how any of this works).

I still haven’t seen an official list of charges since the Santa Clara Police Department is rather slow updating their arrest log (currently only shows up to June 15th but Nappy was supposedly arrested the following day). Someone in the comments of this video from another T.I. about the situation says that the police claim that he threatened two women with a weapon, which is similar to what I’d heard before but I hadn’t heard anything about him actually having a weapon. I assumed it was just because he often yells things that could be misinterpreted as threats through his bullhorn.

Here’s a video from last year that shows Nappy approaching a car with one headlight out holding what could be a crowbar (although it’s not super clear and could just be something with a long strap). If what the comment says is true (given that T.I.s usually aren’t the most reliable of narrators but I haven’t yet seen the official charges so it’s the best info I have), I wonder if the arrest was because of a similar situation where Nappy got out of his van and approached another car with something in his hands?

Assuming that the legal process will take a while (whether he’s innocent or otherwise), I hope that Nappy has someone to take care of his dogs.

Also liked the bit where some civilian employee leaves out the side door of the police HQ and Bryan harasses her asking “where are the corrupt police at”.

Towards the end he starts whining about how the police have largely left him alone and he seems to think that the hands-off approach is actually a conspiracy against him some how.

    • Uhh, this is just a technology to read jaw and throat movements to infer what the speaker is trying to say. This is for deaf and/or mute people who don’t have the ability to talk (deaf people are equipped to speak, but because they can’t hear themselves, they’ve never learned to properly vocalize).

These folks can still be taught to make the jaw, throat, and facial movements involved with speaking, this is where this technology would be deployed.

You seem to be stating that this is a mind reading technology (“inner speech”), that is definitely not the case. Whenever I think about something, I don’t make the movements with my mouth and etc. as if I were speaking. If you do, well, that’s your problem.

  18. On Bryan’s Facebook page, he is accusing a female psychiatrist based in San Diego of using a “brain to computer interface” to torture him. Bryan, of course, provides zero evidence for this claim.

I don’t know what Bryan’s relationship is with this psych but I’m guessing he’s been through her office before either recently or in the past.

Bryan’s attempts at enrolling into homeless shelters have been short-lived usually because of a social worker or mental health professional was getting involved during his stay. Bryan has this comical phobia of mental healthcare because he thinks they’re doing weird experiments on his brain every time he sees one of them.

I won’t name her since she’s innocent of the nonsense Bryan is accusing her of but Bryan has no problem naming her and plastering her face on his page.

He’s also in the San Diego library chugging away Red Bulls while complaining about “sleep deprivation torture”, as usual.

It’s why I can’t feel too sorry for Bryan when he makes the “woe is me, I’m sleeping on the sidewalk” sort of videos because we’ve seen him at multiple shelters over the past half year which he all voluntarily left because he can’t stand the notion of talking to someone who is a psychologist for a few minutes (and I’m not denying that one nasty experience with the guy who hit him with a tray in New York but, if Bryan had stuck around, he could have had that other guy charged).

The Santa Monica VA campus shelter with the cabins seemed especially nice as far as homeless shelters go, he should go back there rather than sleeping on that tiny easement between buildings in San Diego with the camera pointing directly at him.

Talks about how he returned to the US specifically to seek medical treatment that he can’t get abroad but somehow “they” are stopping him from seeing doctors. Hmm, how many appointments has Bryan had but blew off so far? I’ve lost track.

I want Bryan to get taken care of and get better but the attitude he has is that everyone he encounters is part of a conspiracy against him so he ends up always having an excuse for not following through on getting treatment.

        • Here’s a fun hypothetical, if Bryan can’t get into Russia these days without a visa, why doesn’t he just try getting a visa? Is it because he couldn’t get a sponsor (a requirement to enter Russia outside of the few ports that allow 3 day visits). If he booked a trip to Russia through a travel agency, he’d get a sponsor automatically.

Bryan got a visa for China (albeit one I doubt China would honour anymore even if he still had it in his possession due to how often he shows an image of it on the Internet with nothing blurred out) so I know he’s capable of going through the process of getting a Russian visa.
