Candy Grandpre wants to become an Uber driver but her two arrests show up on her background check. Of course she continues with the line that she was the victim of a “swatting” (she wasn’t) and still refuses to acknowledge that she committed (petty) crimes.
Part of me is happy that she is kinda-sorta trying to become self-sufficient. But the other part of me knows she has a huge attitude problem (that she blames on her fake tourette syndrome) and is too batshit crazy – she’ll throw a hissy fit if someone wears the wrong colors, shakes their legs, plays music, etc. Her driver rating will go to one star very quickly and she’ll get deactivated.
Candy can’t truly become self-sufficient until she goes to a psych and gets well. I can’t say what sort of treatment she needs – whether it is (medical) drugs or just behavioral therapy, she needs that help first.
She also needs good friends. The friends she has are just people who coddle her and shower her with money and gifts because of their toxic altruism. Real friends will tell you when you’re being an idiot, politely. Real friends help you become a better person, not enable toxic behaviors.
Bryan Tew seems to be getting “red pilled” based on these two Facebook posts today. One post about the great replacement conspiracy theory and one post about George Washington and Thomas Jefferson shooting the ruling class if they were alive today.

EDIT: The live suddenly stopped while Bryan was arguing with a customer service person at Walmart (who objected to being filmed). It appears Bryan deleted the live from above. I really wanted to archive it but he was too quick on the delete button.
He started a new live stream just a minute afterwards and he was magically back in his Toyota. Bryan said he forgot where he was parked and assumed it was towed. He finally found it in another parking row. Seeing where he parked it, he is technically parked illegally and Walmart could have him towed if they really wanted to.

I would rather let an actual handicapped person comment on this but I’m guessing I won’t get any of those folks commenting so my guess is that those spots are stripped off because a hanicapped person might have a specially modified vehicle that they enter from the back (a quick Google shows me that some models are side-entry and some are rear-entry). Since those parking spots can be entered into from either direction, it’s possible for the rear of the vehicle to be on either side of the parking spot so both sides are stripped off.
Bryan being selfish as he is doesn’t care or doesn’t bother to take that into consideration, even as a handicapped person himself.

I don’t really know what’s going on with Bryan’s cardiovascular health; he certainly isn’t in tip-top shape but he’s been in and out of so many ERs and either discharged (because whatever it is, it’s not an emergency) or he walked out on his own after the attending doctor realizes he is a nutcase and tries to get him into the pysch wing.
On the topic of Bryan’s “fluttering” heart, I have a benign and very occasional arrhythmia that feels like “fluttering” sometimes. I’ve had it checked and it’s not considered a concern and no treatment or lifestyle change (apart from the usual spiel everyone gets about exercising and eating healthy foods) has been suggested.
I wonder if Bryan has something like that and he is blowing it way out of proportion and thinks all the doctors are lying to him about it. Of course, given Bryan’s overall health, lack of exercise, lack of nutrition, and overall lack of care about taking care of himself (screaming loudly isn’t taking care of yourself), he probably does have high risk factors for cardiovascular diseases arrhythmia or not.

In the video, two FBI agents from the Atlanta office and a Jackson County Sheriff’s Department officer are interested in talking to the guy filming them to get information about a person of interest whom he may associate with. They’re probably not going to name the person they need information about until they’re sure he’s going to cooperate and not just tip the guy off that they’re investigating him.
I don’t think this is “gangstalking recruitment” so much as it’s a “we know you’ve talked to this person, possibly in the comments of a Youtube video, who self-radicalized himself (or herself, “themself” just sounds weird to me) on the Internet (possibly by watching “gangstalking” conspiracy theory videos), we suspect he might be plotting an attack but we need more information to get a warrant” kind of situation.
They said they’re from the Atlanta office so my mind jumps immediately to Kevin but, while I believe the meth-fueled Kevin of a decade ago was unhinged enough to possibly strike out violently at his neighbors, I seriously believe Kevin’s jail stint in 2018 dried him out so that he no longer uses meth and is generally a much more mellow guy (but with some lingering delusions stemming from past meth use). Jackson County, which is just north of Athens and northeast of Atlanta, is also on the wrong side of Atlanta from DeKalb County for me to think this is anything to do with Kevin, who is travelling outside of Georgia most of the time these days anyway.

Bryan may have been scammed. Given how many shitcoins Bryan owns and some of the sketchy looking websites he is using nothing would surprise me. Although ~$55 isn’t much of a loss.
The safest way to hold crypto is a self-custody wallet that you have multiple copies of and transact on a separate machine that is offline most of the time except when you are doing a transaction. A laptop with the battery removed or a desktop that is unplugged when not in use.
The second safest way is a “reputable” exchange that holds your currency. Hard to qualify what reputable means especially with an administration that is gutting most crypto regulations. Coinbase is probably safe; they seem to be pretty conservative. Use it with a token (i.e. a Yubikey or similar). Do not use SMS as 2FA, ever.
The way to get your wallets drained is to use an exchange with your phone number (attackers can do “SIM swap” attacks to clone your phone number and get the access code to log in). Another way to drain your wallet is to interact with shady websites like the ones in Bryan’s post. Not saying that’s what happened, but it could have happened that way. It’s like putting your credit card number in a Geocities website, except there’s no way to get your money back.
Ethereum (and probably others, don’t keep up with crypto that much anymore) have smart contracts and if you don’t know what you’re doing, you can lose your money that way as well.
I was big on crypto when BTC first came out. Wishing I had kept my original BTCs. Did turn like $200 into $2000 a few years ago though, so not entirely unhappy about it. But all it is is a big speculative asset. It’s like day trading penny stocks, you don’t really know where you will end up tomorrow.
The promise of crypto was that it would replace credit cards and cash. Never happened. BTC has some technical limitation that maybe weren’t obvious at the time that has made it difficult to scale. Bryan has made tens of posts over the last few days telling people not to “accept” a Real ID from the government. I pointed out to Bryan (who subsequently blocked me) that he has multiple Real ID-compliant IDs in his possession and that he better explain why it’s okay for him to have these IDs but not everyone else:
All of these are considered a form of “Real ID”. I don’t think there actually is a way to “decline” a Real ID short of simply not having an ID which isn’t a realistic option.
You can of course try to continue using a non-compliant ID but those are going to be expiring soon with the only option to renew and receive a Real ID.
I guess it might be state dependent. In my state when you get a DL you will get a Real ID. There’s no alternative process for getting a degraded / non-compliant ID.
I’m thinking in a small number of states like California people who are undocumented can get DLs/IDs and those people of course will not receive a Real ID-compliant ID. I don’t know if there is a process someone like Bryan could follow to get one of those types of IDs but it seems convoluted and stupid to even try.
There’s no point in trying to avoid a Real ID; all Real ID really is is a stricter set of rules thrust upon the states to validate that people are who they say they are and have legal residency and make them harder to fake / tamper with. Basically you need to bring in more supporting documents than before when applying for the first time. You also have to have your photo retaken regularly.

My biggest complaint about Real ID is that it is an unfunded mandate thrust upon the states which is why it has taken 20 years (!!) for it to finally be federally enforced (the bill was passed in 2005).
In my state, the requirement to re-take photos on every other DL renewal physically forces more people into the DMV which has resulted in extremely long wait times and overworked DMV staff. My state has been too slow to open new DMV centers and this has been an ongoing issue for about a decade now. If you want to renew on time, you need to book your appointment out months in advance if you don’t want to sit in a DMV all day – it’s like socialist health care.

Bryan, running away never solves your problems. You have the same problems wherever you go and not only that, your treatment at the VA will be delayed by weeks or months as the VA can never see you right away, it has to be scheduled in advance.
This is why I say you’re not at all serious about getting help. You need to stick it out in one place and see your treatment through to completion.
Bryan went to the VA in Portland and he managed to get a physical therapy appointment for 9/22. I will say that does seem like a miracle; normally it takes weeks or longer to see a specialist at the VA.

Nothing pleases him. If he goes to the VA and it takes weeks to get on the schedule, it’s a game. If he gets in right away, that’s also a game. Now he didn’t say he won’t go, but as we’ve seen he ends up ghosting something like 75% of his appointments.
A regular medical practice would have kicked his sorry ass to the curb already. I guess the VA has a much higher bar for throwing someone out. What he is doing is wasting the time of medical staff and ultimately making it harder for other people WHO ACTUALLY WANT HELP to be seen and treated by playing his own games with the VA and having all these wasted appointments.
Bryan films himself at a gas station and says he is “two hours from Seattle”. I don’t know if that means he is driving to Seattle or if he is just stating a fact. Portland is about 2.5 hours drive from Portland so this doesn’t 100% establish that he’s actually on his way to Seattle.
It should be obvious but he’s going to run out of “north” to keep running towards. He will either have to enter Canada, travel eastwards into the other western states (Idaho, Montana, Dakotas, Wyoming, etc.), and/or south.

Unrelated to above, other than it having to do with the “Tyree Sneed” character that visited / trolled Candy a couple of months ago.
I’ve been trying to get the lore on this Tyree Sneed person. It appears there may be two people who use that name. There is the “real” Tyree Sneed and a “fake” Tyree Sneed who is basically a parody of the former, I believe.
I believe it is the “fake” Tyree Sneed who visited Candy back in July.
There is a “real” Tyree Sneed who I presume is either mentally ill or just a loner, whatever. That guy lives in Brownsville, TX and is very frequently seen around town wearing a Batman costume.
“Real” Tyree Sneed does have a YT channel; he live streams pretty much every day. Sometimes he’s in his batsuit and sometimes he’s just ranting about the master plan he has for success in life.

Candy’s still talking about getting birthday freebees three weeks after her birthday (just after the three minute mark in this livestream).
She’s talking about “utilizing” something to get a freebee. I guess it’s some kind of voucher? I know some places will give you a few days’ grace period after your birthday to use a birthday freebee voucher but I’ve never heard of birthday vouchers still being valid several weeks after the fact. Do they just not ask you to prove it’s your birthday for birthday freebee vouchers?
I accidentally ended up with two Olive Garden loyalty accounts somehow and I’ve been getting two birthday deserts every year.
Didn’t do this intentionally but I did redeem both of them on separate visits successfully. (Call the cops for birthday fraud!)
Don’t recall the expiry but yeah they don’t last forever.
Speaking of gifts – Candy has an odd video about receiving gift cards in the mail from “Abby” that are apparently invalid.
I’ll take her word for it that they’re actually invalid cards instead of her just not checking the balance properly.
She’s paranoid that someone is trying to set her up to be arrested for fraud. That’s unlikely – the cards would just be declined if they have zero balance and there would not be any real drama at that point.
Cashiers get declined payments all the time and it means you either find an alternative payment method or leave your would-be purchase behind. Cops don’t get called for that sort of thing typically.
I guess I could see Candy eating out somewhere and having only that as a payment method and getting the cops called on her for dine and dashing. But it wouldn’t be for fraud.
I used to buy those prepaid MasterCard or Visa debit cards occasionally for online purchases back when I didn’t have my own bank debit card but stopped after I lost $250 on a card that wouldn’t freaking activate and the store wouldn’t refund it because I suspect they thought I was trying to commit some kind of fraud with a fake receipt which explicitly showed that the activation failed (even though I have no idea how I would’ve printed out a fake receipt on their own special receipt paper with the store logo on the back and they should have had the transaction on record anyway to verify) and I then talked to customer service for the pre-paid debit card company and they told me to fax it to them and… nothing happened.
I should have been a little more proactive in trying to get my money back even though I was already being as proactive as I’m able to be with my personality but my main point is that crap happens sometimes with those pre-paid debit cards and I just don’t trust them.

EXPLAIN THAT!! and I am like huh, What?? I think the more likely explanation is that whichever website you were looking at had inaccurate information. It happens.
Or it might have temporarily closed for renovations or because of a change in management and the website making note of the closure hadn’t been updated.

I’m pretty harsh on the role of AI in tech right now; I think AI’s near-term capabilities are being grossly exaggerated and that way too much money is being thrown at the industry. That said, I think AI is useful for stuff like this.
I’m finding lack of interest in watching hours-long rants and raves from people like Candy. NotebookLM will take the text transcript of a video and produce “Cliff’s Notes” types of summaries. You can ask it questions about the content as well and it tries to answer them for you. It’s actually pretty neat.
