So as you all have seen we were shut down by Google under the false claim that we were harassing Bryan Tew.<\/p>\n
A few weeks have gone by and I have returned with (1) New hosting, (2) A permanent domain name, and (3) A change in name and focus.<\/p>\n
(1) and (2) mean I have more control and insurance against this happening again. This new arrangement does not\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong>guarantee being booted again. It just means I won’t lose my content and can easily move the blog elsewhere quickly.<\/p>\n (3) is a personal decision after some reflection. There are a lot of crazy people and conspiracies to document. Bryan is just one of many. This is subject to change.<\/p>\n Here are some of the boring details of what allowed this to\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0happen:<\/p>\n I know who reported\u00c2\u00a0me – it wasn’t Bryan. It’s the crazy guy who thinks Harris Corporation is putting voices into his head.<\/p>\n Social media companies are experiencing a wave of activist campaigns to crack down on supposed harassment and trolling<\/a>.<\/p>\n While there have been actual examples of harassment and abuse, this movement is largely about censoring opposition to the social justice ideology\u00c2\u00a0where dissenters are labeled as “trolls” and publically disagreeing with\u00c2\u00a0someone is “harassment”. Companies are caving in to this pressure and banning people who are only guilty of sparring with people or saying negative things about people.<\/p>\n In Bryan’s case, we had a blog where we documented and commented on Bryan’s life based on his public Internet postings. Bryan’s privacy was never violated – Bryan chooses to make his posts visible to the public at large.<\/p>\n None of that matters to Google – Google received a complaint and saw that I was criticizing another individual\u00c2\u00a0and considered that sufficient grounds for censorship.
